Reserving a Hotel Room

Book directly through our official website for the best available rates. If your preferred dates aren’t available online, please call us for real-time availability. We accept all major debit and credit cards.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel your booking free of charge up to 7 days before your arrival, when booked directly through our website

Check In or Check out Times

Standard check-in: 3:00 PM
Standard check-out: 10:00 AM
Early check-in (from 1:00 PM) and late check-out (until 12:00 PM) are available for £20.00 each.

Is smoking allowed in the property?

No—smoking is strictly prohibited. A £125 fine applies to anyone caught smoking on the premises.

Guest Entry

We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask guests to leave if they exhibit inappropriate behaviour, including intoxication, aggression, or abusive conduct. Refunds will not be issued in such cases.

Are children allowed in the hotel?

Yes—children of all ages are welcome. For infants under 3, parents should bring their own cots and bedding.

Do you accept dogs?

Unfortunately, pets and dogs are not allowed due to health and safety regulations.  Exception is made for assistance dogs and would be accommodated in either of our two ground floor rooms.  Please contact the hotel directly to organise your stay.

Is there is a lift at the LilyRose Hotel?

There is no lift at the LilyRose Hotel. Please contact us if you have mobility concerns so we can assist with room selection.

Where is LilyRose Hotel is located?

The LilyRose Hotel is located in the scenic West Cliff area of Whitby, just a short walk from the beach, shops, and restaurants.

Lower Ground Floor: Rooms 18–19
Ground Floor: Rooms 16–17
First Floor: Rooms 1–4
Second Floor: Rooms 5–8
Third Floor: Rooms 9–12
Fourth Floor: Rooms 14–15

Loss or Damage - Guest and Hotel Property

LilyRose Hotel is not liable for loss or damage to guest property due to negligence, misconduct, or natural events. We are also not responsible for damage to vehicles.

Any damage to the hotel property caused by you or your guests will be charged to the debit or credit card used for booking.

Do you have parking?

LilyRose Hotel is walking distance from Whitby Town Centre beach, shops and restaurants. Every year from the first of November until the end of February, there is free parking’s along the pay and display machines.

From first of March until the end of October we sell 48-hour scratch cards, that allow our guests to park on street parking spaces anywhere in Whitby at Zone-W, for just £3. You can pre-pay for the parking when making a booking on our website.

We are about 9 minutes walk to the train station and about 5 minutes leisurely walk to the Whitby town centre.

Are my belongings safe?

Yes—rooms are generally secure. We recommend locking your door and storing valuables safely when you’re out.

Do you accept pets?

Although we love pets, for health and safety reasons, pets are not allowed.

Group Bookings

At the LilyRose Hotel we welcome group bookings for weddings, business trips, or school outings. A deposit may be required depending on the size and nature of the booking.

Bar / Restaurant Recommendations

While we don’t have a bar or restaurant on-site at the LilyRose Hotel, we’re happy to recommend excellent local options nearby. We’ve detailed these in the welcome pack in your room.  Or reach out to us in advance of your stay!
